day #365 - the end of an era

I thought I was on top of it; I had finished early and was looking for a movie to watch already 3 hours ago. And I don't know how time went by. A phonecall, some networking studying, some online shopping and here we are, already past the time for an early movie. Regardless, today is a special day. The blog is over! I finished 365 days of daily painting and recording it, whatever that means. A big part of the process I will have to keep doing mainly for myself. How would life be if I had days off? Now for example that I'm moving out and I have to daily chores that until now were completely taken care of, perhaps I'll allow my

day #238 - Golden Paint

Trying to catch up. I feel awfully tired today (I might have a clue why that might be). Today's work has not been my top form. I keep observing that when I can't concentrate enough (I mean my eyes at least should be on the paper) the end result feels ...foreign. In any case, there have been certain good aspects in what I did today (after all we have to see the positive side of things) and that is primarily that I did paint, I didn't get fed up with it and I got to test my gold posca marker. Plus I mixed watercolors and ink, which I've been meaning for a long time but didn't dare to and revisited an old style of painting (that I used to do with my winsor and newton inks). Amazingly, while this is not my favourite piece, I do find it balanced and I guess it's pleasing to the eyes.
Last day of the year tomorrow!
