day #365 - the end of an era

I thought I was on top of it; I had finished early and was looking for a movie to watch already 3 hours ago. And I don't know how time went by. A phonecall, some networking studying, some online shopping and here we are, already past the time for an early movie. Regardless, today is a special day. The blog is over! I finished 365 days of daily painting and recording it, whatever that means. A big part of the process I will have to keep doing mainly for myself. Perhaps taking daily photos of my work and saving it on some folder. This has provem useful many times when I trying to date a piece I've been working on. day #244 - Recalibrating

I was scared of drawing/painting today. I tried to put it off my mind, and pretend like it wasn't even on my schedule. There was the hope that sometime the urge would come if I took a real mental break from it. It almost did, but eventually the day went by and only now did I pick up my brush to symbolically doodle something! I might try this approach again though because these seems to be something to it. Might had been that today I was to "technically oriented" and lost track of time - spent the day trying to straigten the shot artworks and optimize my pipeline.
Anyway, today's efforts were not that disappointing and there are numerous reasons to be happy. I'm pretty glad I experimented on the side of being kind to myself. Also, today's work was fun (left me wanting for more a change) and I got to play with my belover brushpen, some line weight control, some simple design, and practiced ...straight lines! This is something I haven't done in a long long time, nice to revisit such things once in a while and feel competent!
