day #365 - the end of an era

I thought I was on top of it; I had finished early and was looking for a movie to watch already 3 hours ago. And I don't know how time went by. A phonecall, some networking studying, some online shopping and here we are, already past the time for an early movie. Regardless, today is a special day. The blog is over! I finished 365 days of daily painting and recording it, whatever that means. A big part of the process I will have to keep doing mainly for myself. Perhaps taking daily photos of my work and saving it on some folder. This has provem useful many times when I trying to date a piece I've been working on. day #245 - Untitled

Tough day... I need to be extra kind to myself... I was so low that I wasn't struggling that I should paint. I didn't even care. The day was almost over but then, habit, it wasn't such an issue picking up the brushpen and drawing a mark on the paper. And that I did. I picked it up, did a doodle, and the then decided to draw a pretty face. And the I was hooked, and drew the face, and a world around it. That's probably one day that habit has worked to my advantage. I suppose if I were even more productive, and actual painting wouldn't be out of question! For now I'm satisfied though. The first doodle was a good warming up, breaking all expectations for something - bordering waste of paper. The second was much more dear. Perspective, details, different type of buildings, a pretty face, and a very very ugly cat(?) that really killed it, but I don't care! It's cool! Time for some rest.
