day #365 - the end of an era

I thought I was on top of it; I had finished early and was looking for a movie to watch already 3 hours ago. And I don't know how time went by. A phonecall, some networking studying, some online shopping and here we are, already past the time for an early movie. Regardless, today is a special day. The blog is over! I finished 365 days of daily painting and recording it, whatever that means. A big part of the process I will have to keep doing mainly for myself. Perhaps taking daily photos of my work and saving it on some folder. This has provem useful many times when I trying to date a piece I've been working on. How would life be if I had days off? Now for example that I'm moving out and I have to daily chores that until now were completely taken care of, perhaps I'll allow my

day #267 - Sketchday

Today I did some sketching. An interesting character (with more feet that hands) where I let loose with my pentel pockebrush (it still excites me!) and a second where I (cold) practiced drawing a pretty-face and tried doing it from multiple angles. It's both a success and failure; the bottom view is outright ugly, but overall I was happy with the fact that I managed to maintain the characteristics somewhat stable across the views, and despite how rare it is that I draw faces nowadays, it came out half-decent. Another thing I liked about today is that my apetite for painting wanted more (but never got to it) - it's a good sign that I'm not overextending myself. Then again, it's also a sign that maybe(?) I'm not doing enough? In any case, since it's rare, I welcome it!
I had to do a bit more for today, so I picked up my pen and filled this additional page.
